1. Kuang Si Falls, Luang Prabang, Laos.

The Kuang Si Falls is a three-tiered waterfall with beautiful, green vegetation and water that is so clear, you will want to jump right in. The main waterfall is a 60-meter drop that begins in shallow pools atop a steep hillside.

The beautiful turquoise blue pools that form all around are open to swimming, so you can take a dip while taking in the picturesque scenery. If you ever find yourself in Luang Prabang, this is a must-see.
2. Lake Retba, Senegal.

Not a lot of people know about the beautiful, pink waters of Lake Retba. Pink waters?
Yes, you read right; pink waters.
Situated in Dakar, the capital city of Senegal, the lake gets its beautiful bubblegum color from the Dunaliella Salina bacteria. The bacteria, which is attracted to the lake’s high salt content forms red pigment that makes the lake pink.

The pink color is most vivid from November through December and is open all year round to tourist visits. Pack your bags for an amazing African vacation; the enchanting Lake Retba is waiting for you.
3. Wandering Stones of California Death Valley

Stones that move from place to place by themselves? That’s what first comes to mind when you hear ‘wandering stones. Scientists have found out, after so many years of research, that while it seems that the rocks of Death Valley drift across the desert all on their own, that is actually not the case.

Using time-lapse photography, they were able to record the movement of the stones for the first time. They discovered that the movement of the stones was actually caused by a sheet of ice that had thawed and driven by a bit of wind, was now moving them forward.
